On-Site Training – a success

Todays on-site training seemed to go well.  Everyone who said they’d be there showed up.  Just over 40 people turned up, listened to me, scoffed biscuits and had a play with the equipment.  We even had a fire drill.  Everone was split into their teams and had tuition from the exhibit experts, and then had a chance to wander about the Cyberneering site and Wonderama as a whole. 

Some who turned up early had a full site tour and attended the buildings fire safetly talk (which they reported back to the group as a whole).  A note for next year, I must make the effort contact with Tracy about the Wonderama staff training programme! Also it was very useful to have the projector and screen on site for the training.

We had a photographer on site who got a great group shot as well as some interesting views of the kit.  I am looking forward to getting the photos, and will post some here when I do.

On-Site Training

A team of 20 or so of us have been busy the past two days setting up the Cyberneering exhibits.  We are all but finished and the East Drawing Room at the Assembly Rooms is looking fab and very colouful! I’ll post pictures soon.

Training will take place at the Assembly Rooms on Monday from 10 am.  Please note the contact number for the supervision team at Cyberneering with Heriot Watt will be 0750 5512748.  Here’s an idea of what we’ll be doing on Monday:

10:00-10:30 Registration & T-shirt collections

10:30-11:00 Introduction 

  • Fire Safety
  • Hand out Code of Practice and Declaration Forms
  • Exhibits
  • Stickers
  • Booking System

11:00 – 11:15 Split into Exhibit Teams & do Ice Breaker

11:15 – 12:00 Training on Individual Exhibits

12:00 – 13:00 Tour other Exhibits

13:00 Wrap up

13:15 onwards Check Rota, Fill in Forms and help with any remaining set up.
